How to create a Memory Game


Create a pair with our Memory game. The game allows you to search for identical cards or cards similar in meaning. But this format can also be used for serious projects. Unlike Find a Pair game, cards in Memory are mixed up every time you start the game, which makes the search interesting.

Beginning of work

Sign in to your profile on interacty.me. To create Memory, click Template Gallery button.

Select Memory.

Select the template you like from the list by clicking Edit (1) button. The Preview (2) button will allow you to preview the template.

To start, click Edit Content.

Decide on the layout and card proportions. Please note that the total number of cards in your project will depend on the layout. For a better result, use preview on the right side of the screen.

If necessary, you can change the back of the card by clicking the Change button.

There are 2 ways to upload a new image. Directly from your computer or using the Unsplash Library.

My Library - Images you previously used in other templates. They can be downloaded from Unsplash or from your computer. To add an image from your device, click Upload Media.

Unsplash Library - Direct access to the Unsplash stock photo service. Enter a subject into the search and select the image you like. Click Place Image.

After setting up the playground field, go to the Pairs section.

Optionally, you can add an explanation to the pairs by clicking on the gray slider. When user found a pair, he will see a pop-up message with your explanation.

To replace a pair of images with your own, click on the camera icon.

You can also add a text or even audio record to make your game even more interesting.

Then, go to the Final screen section.

Enter an encouraging phrase or interesting fact in the text box. User will see this result after the successful completion of the game. Look at the preview on the right side of the screen to get an idea of ​​what the final screen of your game will look like.

Click Save when all settings are ready.

Additional features

To use additional settings, click anywhere in the workspace of your project. On the right side of the screen, you will see a panel of advanced settings.

Select the Number card backs check box if you want all of your cards to be numbered.

In the Time before flipping cards field, you can set the time (in seconds) user will spend to remember the card. Usually one second is enough, but you can experiment.

By checking the Time counter box, you can add a timer to your game.

By selecting the Timer item, at the end of the game, the user will be notified of how long he completed the task.

Countdown option let you to set countdown time. User must complete the game until time is over.

If unsuccessful, the user will see the Time is up page. You can customize its appearance by clicking on customize the "time is up" page.

Add a title and description to your page.

Use Upload button if you also want to add an image.

You can also add call to action or retry button by checking the appropriate box. Retry button allows user's to start his game again.

Call to action button is usually a link to your website, product or service. Fill in the text on your button and specify the link where this button will lead to. You can set this option both for the Time is up page and for the final screen in case of successful completion of the game.

To complete your work, click the Save button.

Save and Share

Click the Preview and evaluate the current state of your project.

Try your project and don't forget to rate how it looks on different devices. To do this, switch between the phone and personal computer (1) icons. If you notice an error or decide to fix anything, return to the Editor (2) by selecting the appropriate menu item.

Don't forget to select a Title (1) for your project. This will make it easier to find him. After that, you can safely click the Publish (2) button.

Your project is ready! You can share with your friends by sending a link, or choosing any other convenient way.

You can always return to editing your template again by clicking the Edit (1) button in the list of profile projects. You can also check Statistics (2) by clicking the corresponding button.
